Which One Is the Ideal Bed for Your Child

So yesterday my two little angels were watching a cartoon called “Five little monkeys jumping on the bed” and afterwards were literally jumping on my nerves with their persistent begging for me to actually make them the same bed as in the cartoon.

And that’s not even a bed, it’s like a trampoline made of leaves since the monkeys live in the jungle. But they are just kids, and please raise your hand if you have ever successfully managed to explain something to little kids and convince them they’re wrong. I didn’t think so.

My kids are pretty energetic, they hate ordinary stuff, often cry to get something they see in cartoons and are pretty creative in their games. So I had a hard time choosing their beds, because believe it or not, they do not want to sleep in the living room or in my bedroom because the bed is not their ‘sailor’s boat’. And their bedroom is quite small, so I had to figure out how to put two beds in the shape of small boats in such a small room. And I did: childrens trundle beds. Oh the relieve! They fitted perfectly in the room and surprisingly, my kids managed to agree between themselves who will sleep on the top. Thank God for that.

So if you’re facing the same problem, I have a few suggestions that could be helpful in your choice for the ideal bed. After all, you are all aware that kids these days simply know there is more out there than a simple ordinary mattress in a wooden frame. You can search the online offer of childrens trundle beds, which is quite wide and very colourful. Also, the designs on the market are just adorable:

The Single Size Day Bed

The Single Size Day Bed

This one is perfect if you have girls. It comes in white colour and if you decorate it with baby pink, it is the ultimate girly night retreat. The additional bed is also pretty deep so a good quality mattress can be perfectly installed inside. The frame is simple, there are no shapes here, but hey, aren’t girls supposed to be classy? If I had girls, I would definitely go with this one.

The Pirate Boat

The Pirate Boat

I’m a huge fan of “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie, and when I saw this I was out of my mind! It is designed as a small boat with an actual boat wheel in its front end, and a flag! Coloured in brown, along with its drawers, this one is perfect for boys who are into boats, ships and pirate games.

The Fire Fight Bed

The Fire Fight Bed

The first thing kids learn in pre-school is who the policemen, doctors, teachers and fire-fighters are. And it is only normal they will develop love for fire-fighting, so these cute constructions can be perfect if your little ones are into it. The red colour of the frame limits you a little in the overall design of the room such as colour and wall decorations, but you can still manage to pull out an amazing bedroom.

The Spiderman Trundle

The Spiderman Trundle

Are your kids into superheroes? This amazing Spiderman trundle bed is a dream come true to every kid who loves Spiderman. It is an ordinary bed frame painted in blue and red and it has a picture of Spiderman on it. Kids will be over the moon with this one, and after they get it, all you will be hearing about is how their bed is a Spiderman one!

The Camp Trundle Bed

The Camp Trundle Bed

I adore this one; it is shaped like a native American’s camp and it is raised a little from the ground so that the drawer bed takes place beneath it. It has a brown supporting frame and a white plastic covering shaped as a rooftop, so the upper bed is almost closed. It is suitable for both boys and girls, and even if you have only one kid, it can be the perfect bed if he/she has friends for sleepovers often.
