Bamboo Bedding: The Ideal Option for Quality Sleep on Clouds
It’s funny how priorities shift as we enter the world of grown-ups. I remember always being reluctant to the afternoon naps throughout my childhood, yet as soon as I entered adulthood, and errands started piling up, the lifestyle was getting busier and busier, I seemed to get fonder and fonder of nap-time.
And yet, even though I was getting naps every now and then (whenever my busy schedule allowed it), I still found myself not getting the quality sleep I expected. Of course, we’ve gotten to know more about the different types of mattresses available for sale nowadays, so we start blaming it on the mattress. Mine was rather new, so I couldn’t consider it the culprit though at first I suspected it.
Little did I know it was actually the synthetic sheets that were causing more trouble with my sleep than it appeared. Аfter reading a lot about the bamboo option, I decided to give it a try myself and discover its benefits by opting to buy bamboo sheets online.
Much to my surprise, they aren’t as costly as they had been when the trend first appeared, and they are far more durable than cotton because of its specific strength when in raw form, which makes for easy stretching of long fibres over the whole length of the sheets, so the result is no wearing out over time, or changing colours into greyish or yellowish shades thanks to the non-absorbent properties. I am now considering to buy bamboo sheets online again, as well as the rest of the bedding, because this is a material you want to pile on.
On occasion, I happen to sweat at night, and the synthetic bedding was only exacerbating it. This resulted in an increase in the electricity bills as the air conditioner has to be working most of the night, but ever since I brought in the bamboo bedding, things have changed.
I owe this to the bamboo’s thermoregulating, and moisture wicking properties (hypoallergenic), so now I am happy to be sleeping without the necessity of the air conditioner, nor changing my pyjamas twice in a night. This has helped in the reduction of the bill, as I am able to stay warm in winter and cool in summer when in bed.
It may sound almost unbelievable, but bamboo is so much more comfortable than cotton that it makes me feel like sleeping on clouds. Those treasurable afternoon naps are finally starting to pay off, and not to mention the quality sleep at night!
