The Ideal Hyundai Wheeled Excavator

Hyundai Construction Equipment has recently upgraded its 9A series of wheeled excavators and one that has been referred as ideal wheeled excavator is R140W-9A. This Hyundai wheeled excavator comes with an upgraded durability, hydraulic system and cabin. The R140W-9A features the reliable, proven and low-noise Cummins QSB6.7 Tier III Interim engine. The engine is electronically controlled and provides an optimal fuel-to-air ratio, as well as efficient and clean combustion. For reduced fuel consumption, the engine of R140W-9A provides three modes: power, standard and economy. Also, it is suitable for three different operations: digging, crushing and breaking, depending on the requirements of specific applications.

The hydraulic system of this wheeled excavator has been redesigned and allows an exceptional controllability and reduced fuel consumption. It includes the industry-leading and reliable axial piston pumps that provide an improved pump flow with less effort. The smoother and more efficient operation is due to the improved design of control valve. Reliability, durability, speed and strength, the R140W-9A provides an exceptional performance and all the features an operator can ask for. The unique travel system of this wheeled excavator improves the maneuverability of this unit, while remaining stable and safe over long and short distances. Speaking of stability, this machine features four outriggers, independently operated. Each outrigger is controlled by a switch and features a cylinder guard for further protection.

Thinner, but stronger, the Hyundai R140W-9A features a cabin that provides an increased operator’s safety and better visibility. It is made from strong and low-stress steel, welded in a stable and strong frame. The comfort of the cabin is excellent, featuring an adjustable seat, armrests and console, so each operator can adapt the desired comfort levels. The improved tilt functions and steering wheel telescope give the operators better access. With an automatic air-conditioning system, the cabin is able to adapt a constant preferred temperature. During cold winter, the cabin heater allows the operators an immediate heat at start-up.

Hyundai has included a new color 7” LCD display in the cabin of its new wheeled excavator. Easy to read and wide, the highly-advanced display displays vital information about the wheeled excavator, such as power mode, operation mode, self-diagnostics, maintenance check list, start-up security, optional rear camera, water temperature, cabin temperature, fuel, hydraulic oil temperature and other. With this feature, the operators can increase their productivity and versatility.
